Welcome to a very special edition TINY FESTIVAL workshop: tiny ceramic pigeon making with our friend Floor!
We see them everywhere, noisy, clumsy and somehow always in your way, but what if I told you these quirky birds are actually quite amazing? It's time to give them a better reputation!
In this workshop you will make your own, tiny, adorable ceramic pigeon. One that won't coo or poop on your bike! Floor will guide you through a two-hour session of sculpting and glazing, no experience is needed.
First we will get our hands into some clay and shape your pigeon. Before we start glazing, you have time to accompany your friend with a little extra, a cute accessory or crusty pavement tile for example.
During the second half of the workshop we are going to add some colour and personality by glazing your pigeons. They are more colourful than you think, pink, purple, green, it is up to you!
After the workshop your pigeons will be fired in our kiln, which makes their colours pop out and really come to life. Once ready, you can pick them up at Pansy or have them delivered to your place.
What do I need to bring or prepare?
All materials, tools, and snacks are included in the workshop, just bring yourself and if you feel like it, a few images to be inspired by.
Your pieces will be ready for collection within two weeks of completing the workshop. We’ll send an email out to you as soon as they’re ready. You can either pick it up from pansy (we’d love to see you again!) or have the option for us to post your pieces back to you.
