About the exhibition
We invited some of our favourite artists and makers from around the world to create works inspired by their own interpretations or feelings around ‘nostalgia’ ✨ from our childhood & teenagehood which may bring up sparkly memories of lava lamps, tamagotchis, the smell of lunchboxes, trips to stationery stores, sandwiches, summer mornings, your fave stuffed animal, flip phones and so much more!
We are avid sticker lovers at pansy, so it felt fitting to put all these feelings into a medium that is immediate, heartwarming, accessible, cute and fun. We invite you to take a journey back to your inner self, bring back some precious memories, with simple gestures of swapping, sticking, sharing 🩷
About the artist
With bold colours and characters, Martcellia Liunic’s works are “the right combination of cute and trippy” The Jakarta-based illustrator also runs her own art label called Liunic on Things. Martcellia Liunic uses her creative practice to portray her emotions, and tell stories. Based in Jakarta, her works features “colorful, playful, sometimes abstract raw shapes and animals with girl characters.” Illustration, in particular, is a medium which has always been personal and therapeutic for Martcellia.
