Enjoy glazing in the comfort of your home! Or, find a sunny spot under a tree, your friendly neighbourhood cafe, or your bestie’s house for a slumber party/painting evening.
Once you’ve finished glazing, bring (or post) your piece back to pansy. We’ll dip the objects in a shiny, clear glaze and then fire the piece up to 1050 degrees celsius in our most hardworking little kiln, Hootie Ha Ha Ha (that’s her name!) All the pieces are food and drink safe, dishwasher friendly, and super shiny 🔥
The pieces will generally be fired within two weeks time (please note it may be longer for busier seasons, but if you’re travelling or in a hurry - just let us know and we’ll do our speediest best!) You will receive an email as soon as they’re ready to be picked up. Then all that's left is for you to take it back home to live a new shiny colourful life with you! ✨

Our memory jar workshop is one of our beloved collaborations with Gigi from Damchi Kimchi! This is a way to share our love of ceramics and fermentation throughout the year, at any moment - so this pansy pack is our two passions combined into one DIY kit!
The pack offers a two-part experience for you: firstly drawing and decorating your jar with the glazes. Bring it back to pansy, we’ll look after the firing for you (it’ll be ready for collection within 1-2 weeks)
Once you’ve got your shiny beautiful pot, it’s time to get your hands dirty (don’t worry, we included some gloves) to prepare your favourite vegetables with a ready-to-go kimchi paste. Pop your veggies in your jar, and wait 3 days for some delicious spicy bubbly magic to happen, and enjoy! Eets makkelijk!

The pansy pack for ceramic painting includes everything you need to get started on painting your very own ceramic object

Extra glazes for your pansy pack kit!
These glaze colours are specially formulated for brush-on application and have a pastel coloured, matte finish once dry. To achieve an opaque finish, we recommend at least three to four (or more!) layers of glaze. If you’d like a transparent, watercolour-like finish, you can do one or two layers.
Once it goes through the firing process they become bright, shiny and strong like the pictures and glaze samples you can see on the left.
All of our glazes are water-based, lead-free, non-toxic and food safe (which means you can safely eat from your finished creations) The colours are especially vibrant and hand picked from pansy’s collection of colours.
The glazes come in a 40mL twist-top lidded jar that ensure no leaks or spills. You can dip your brushes directly into the jar, and wash the brushes with water afterwards.
We always recommend wearing and apron or clothes you don’t mind getting grubby in - the glazes are forgiving and mostly wash out with water and soap, but always take care when handling them :)

Here you can add extra individual bisque shapes to add to your pack, the pricing is based on the volume of the shape which includes its firing cost per cubic litre in the kiln, as well as handling (clear glazing + firing) costs:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When can I collect my finished item?
We will email you as soon as they’re ready for pick up. Please allow at least at 2 weeks for firing as our kiln is working her very hardest to get all of your items fired. The firing process takes over 24 hours for the kiln to heat up to 1050 degrees celsius, and cool down to under 100 degrees before it is ready to be returned to you.
I’ve never done ceramics before! Is this for me?

Are the glazes safe for using at home?
Glazes combine a few main ingredients such as silica, alumina and flux to achieve their shiny finish. The glazes in pansy pack are specially formulated for beginners use so they are water-based, non-toxic, lead-free, and food safe. However please always take care and precautions by avoiding contact with your skin, eyes or mouth.
