pansy is part shop, studio, and creative workshop space, located in Amsterdam's Czaar Peterstraat. Nestled amongst a historical street sprouting small independent businesses, cafes, and cute stores that lift your spirits.

Step inside pansy, and you’re met with a bouquet of pastel colours - we’re a shop with handpicked & thoughtfully designed colourful things created by our favourite women owned & led design studios, makers and artists from around the world. With artworks, ceramics, zines, prints, homewares and more. If you’re looking for a pick-me-up gift for that special someone - or a little treat for yourself, of course! pansy’s your spot.

Upstairs is where we host our cosy creative workshops. Maybe you’ve always dreamed of making your own set of ceramic cups. Come over to pansy and join in one of our workshops, we can’t wait to meet you!

Hello, my name is Alina

The pansy behind pansy. I’m originally from sunny Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia and relocated to the Netherlands in the summer of 2018.

I’m a visual artist and especially love printmaking, illustration, ceramics, and sharing my work through collaborative projects, exhibitions, and designing collections. Running a space like pansy has always been a dream of mine - to share and celebrate work from fellow independent female makers.

You’ll find me at pansy behind the counter or working in the studio painting a new collection or building some vases from clay. Come by for a chat and cup of tea - I’d love to meet you!

i grew up with parents in the service industry (a deli and a vietnamese restaurant) so it's a space i feel so comfortable and comforted by. i love getting to meet new people every day. we have a shop that's filled to the brim with adorable, colourful things - all made by artists i love: with so much attention to detail, packaging, and making you happy.

workshops

workshops have always been one of my favourite ways of connecting with people. it's always been a big dream to have a big space to welcome you in. i love sharing my process, getting to know you, seeing you love what i love too.

pansy packs

when i started pansy in 2020, we weren't able to gather for in-person workshops, so pansy packs were our DIY at-home kits (and our way of surviving through the rough years!), designed for social distanced creativity - but now they're offering

nothing brings me more joy than getting to work on projects with my friends!

moving into a bigger space in 2022 meant i could host and invite artists that i love to share their work in amsterdam! i'm so proud of the curation of our exhibitions -
