OPEN CALL: travelling tiny zine library (TTZL)
The Travelling Tiny Zine Library (TTZL) is coming to Amsterdam and New York City! The library will be open on 20th September at @helloitspansy in Amsterdam and on 5th October at @fromheretosunday in New York City.
We are looking for submissions of your tiny cute zines to build a mobile library of mini publications from artists worldwide. If you're selected, we will exhibit your tiny zine(s) during TTZL in Amsterdam and New York! You are very welcome to apply wherever you live (you don’t need to be based in the Netherlands or USA) and we give a special shout out to all artists from minority groups to take part!
Next to the exhibitions we will offer workshops and activities during both of the events that are focused on tiny things and zines, ofcourse ;) We invite you to come create, share, read and have fun together!
What is the Travelling Tiny Zine Library?
The TTZL is a project started by Burning Desk & Cousins by Choice Collective with the aim to share the love for teeny tiny zines, and connect zinesters around the world. In our library we want to grow an International public collection of little zines for exhibitions and bring them to different places, where visitors and zinelovers can connect and get inspired by all the possibilities the big world of tiny zines has to offer!
Good to know; We will not sell your zine(s) but showcase them to a broad audience which creates a wider reach for you as a zinemaker (and who knows, some cool future opportunities abroad).
What's a tiny zine?
We don't want to put too many restrictions on what you can do or make, but we want you to be creative and see how small you can go. Therefore, we ask your tiny zines not to be bigger than a credit card, and that's basically the only rule we have! Note that we are very open to quirky & ’out of the box’ created mini zines, surprise yourself and us!
Application process:
Click on the link in our bio's to apply via the Google form, don’t forget to add some nice pics of your beautiful tiny zines. Before the end of July we’ll get back to you and notify you if you are selected.
The deadline for applications is: 20th July.
