sunday 9 + 16 november (afternoon)

€125.00

Welcome to the Best Buddy Batch Workshop! Let’s make a handful of small personalised ceramic objects for your best buddies in time for nifty gifty season. You’ll receive a kilogram of clay to create a cohesive collection of your choice (ceramic portraits? hanging ornaments? plates? tiny spoons? mini vases? brooches? trinket dishes? tiny cups?)

The workshop is run across two sessions: during the first we’ll introduce working with clay, tips and techniques for three different ways of working with clay: pinching, rolling coils, and rolling slabs. By the end of the session we’ll have a cute collection of objects ready for firing.

The second session is focused on glazing and finishing the piece so it’s ready for the last round of firing. We’ll learn various applications of different kinds of glazes, underglazes, decorating with patterns, illustrations and the firing process.

Session 1: Sunday 9 November | 2:00 - 4:00pm
Session 2: Sunday 16 November | 2:00 - 4:30pm

What do I need to bring or prepare?

All materials, tools, and snacks are included in the workshop, just bring yourself and if you feel like it, a few images to be inspired by.

Working with clay can get a bit messy, so bring an apron or wear some old clothes.

Your pieces will be ready for collection within two weeks of completing the workshop. We’ll send an email out to you as soon as they’re ready. You can either pick them up from pansy (we’d love to see you again!) or have the option of having them posted back to you.

Please have a look at our cancellation policy before making a booking, just in case!
